Volunteer

Young Life Australia is a volunteer-driven registered charity and as such Young Life depends on the support of individuals and organisations in order to fill volunteer roles across the ministry.

We all have specific skills and if you can spare a bit of time, Young Life could put yours to very good use. There are various ways you can support the work of Young Life. Here are some examples:

• Volunteer Leader - Area Volunteer Leader

  In this role you will work directly with young people on a weekly basis contacting young people in schools, undertaking sports coaching, helping run local events and assisting with supervision and activities at holiday camps. Note: A Working with Children background check is required.

• Area Volunteer Helper

  These wonderful people help the Young Life Area staff and volunteer leaders to run events.

• Area Admin Support Co-ordinator

  For those with experience in general and office administration, your skills can help free up an Area Director focus to on core priorities.

• Special Events Co-ordinator

  Volunteer to help out if you’re a good organizer and can help put together a special event for Young Life that will run in a local area.

• Camp Work Crew / Cook / Logistics

  We can always use more volunteers! If you’re good on a sound desk, great with a vacuum cleaner, or reckon you’re the next Gordon Ramsay (perhaps without al the swearwords!) , we’d love to have you working your magic at one of Young Life's seasonal camps. Working with children check required.

• Local Committee Member

  Effective and dynamic committees are the lifeline for Young Life in the local area. Young Life starts up in new areas because of the investment in time and start-up funding from a group of interested and supportive adults. These groups usually meet monthly. We welcome you to join us!
