| The Young Life difference
At Young Life, we get to know our young people first. We meet them at their schools, sporting events, the shops and any place else they hang out. We spend time talking with them, finding out about their interests, dreams and concerns. Building a solid, trusting relationship is the heart and starting point for all Young Life leaders. We care for young Australians regardless of their gender, social, economic, cultural or religious background.
As this relationship is building, we then reach out in other ways that meet the needs of our young people.
However, our main strategy involves reaching young people through schools. We do this with a core belief that we need to be where the vast majority of young people are, which is in schools. We use a 'relational' model to connect with young people and believe that is the strength of what Young Life offers. |
