All this by the end of 2011!
It's a five-year vision that will dramatically increase the reach and impact of Young Life in Australia.
Schools
An average of 18 schools in each state and territory means a total of 144 schools nationwide. That’s 144 schools with Young Life leaders entering the world of young people and building significant relationships with positive long-term impact.
Club
‘Club’ is a regular activity that brings young people together in a safe environment, inviting them to an evening of fun, entertainment, friendship and an opportunity to hear a brief message on the Christian faith. Most former Young Lifers would look back on their ‘Club days’ as some of the best memories of their teenage years. Imagine 80 Clubs with an average of 30 young people – an impact on well over 2000 lives each week!
Camp
“The best week of my life!”
Young Life has a great camping reputation worldwide – known for first-class facilities, excellent food, amazing adventure programs and an ability to share about God’s great love for people in unique and non-threatening ways. The camp experience in Australia is no different, save one key area – a camp property. Our dream is that we may own and operate a camp property that will also be used by other organisations and provide a new standard of excellence in the youth camping industry.
The staff, Board and volunteers of Young Life are excited by this new vision. What an amazing opportunity to reach more young people in positive and life-changing ways!
